Modified MDI

Modified MDI, as a derivative of MDI series products, is a technical extension of pure MDI and polymerized MDI products commonly used in the market at present. It mainly relies on MDI's own reaction or reaction with other chemicals and mixing with other chemicals to obtain the best viscosity and functionality products, which are widely used in soft foam, elastomer, coating, adhesive and other fields.

Modified MDI is widely used in the fields of molded foam (soft furniture), automobiles, shoe materials, fitness equipment and waterborne polyurethane. With the continuous improvement of the production technology level of modified MDI and MDI prepolymer by domestic mainstream modified MDI manufacturers and the expansion of production capacity, the output of domestic modified MDI is expected to keep growing in the next five years. From the perspective of the development of downstream industries, upholstered furniture, elastomers, coatings and adhesives and waterborne polyurethane will be the main demand growth areas of domestic modified MDI.

The modified Mdi belongs to the modified polyisocyanate series, which contains a mixture of a certain amount of functional isocyanate and diphenylmethane diisocyanate. It is a brown liquid at room temperature and can be used as the raw material for the production of polyurethane materials.
